This Long Beach, California, primary bathroom by Zac Archuleta of and Lisa Rossman of LL Design pairs luxurious elements, including a chandelier and a deep soaking tub, with more function-forward features such as a low-curb shower. The color palette is neutral but the overall design is dynamic thanks to the geometric pattern of the marble mosaic floor tile, the swirling veins in the white marble shower wall and high-contrast black accents.

In a Seattle bathroom by Jessica Nelson Design, a combination of open and closed storage adds visual interest and practicality to a light wood vanity. Wall-mounted faucets on the marble backsplash keep the countertop clear.
