New Mythic or Legendary

Legendary Myrrh

Are they meta defining?

Ascended Florina has multiple mobility-related effects tied into New-Height Bow. Among those are the ability for allies to warp to nearby spaces. This can lead to surprise knockouts.

Legendary Myrrh creates a 【Warp Bubble】 effect where units cannot warp to tiles that are within 4 spaces from herself. While not too relevant in Arena, this effect is useful in Aether Raids and Summoner Duels to combat Bridal Catria.

It is currently Wind Season month, and the most expected Wind Legendary heroes are Legendary Sigurd and Legendary Lucina.

Legendary Sigurd has the formidable Holy-Knight Aura to grant movement bonuses to his entire team.

Legendary Lucina can create complicated scenarios with her Future Vision II and lead to unsuspecting kills.

Legendary Myrrh is a very bulky Legendary, especially since she is currently a bonus unit, giving her extra stats.

Limstella is the GHB unit and will be a bonus unit. Their Morph Fimbulvetr grants massive debuffs and paired with their high Atk stat, will lead to heavy damage.

How to Counter

Legendary Sigurd's Holy-Knight Aura is not active immediately unless he brings Quickened Pulse. Defeat him using a ranged unit before he triggers his powerful Special.

Legendary Lucina has mediocre bulk unless given significant investment in the form of merges, dragonflowers, and B Duel Infantry 4 for scoring. It is possible to defeat her in one round of combat using units with high Atk.

Also, keep Future Vision II in mind at all times and do not leave your units in range for her AI to use it.

Legendary Myrrh is tough to defeat, but her player phase is merely average. Bait her in using an enemy phase unit, or bring effects that pierce through Dragon Wall 3's damage reduction or even some flying-effective or dragon-effective weapons.

Limstella has very low Spd and is prone to receiving follow-up attacks. Use a speedy physical attacker and defeat them before they can initiate an attack of their own.

Aether Raids

Chaos Season

Meta Changes and Updates 10 (06/10/2022) | Fire Emblem Heroes (FEH)|Game8 (14)

Starting June 21, a new season called Chaos will be active in Aether Raids. Unlike other seasons, Chaos season is a special season and is not part of the permanent season rotation.

Chaos season has its own Lift values and ruleset separate from the regular rotating seasons.

During Chaos season, Mythic and Legendary effects such as increased Lift gain, increased stats and use of additional hero slots will be deactivated.

This brings a new spin on the current Aether Raids format that players are used to, requiring new teambuilding and strategies to succeed!

New teambuilding rules during Chaos season are restricting each team to a maximum of one refresher unit and one unit equipped with a Savior skill. Duplicate heroes are also not allowed to be used in one team.

Starting Lift during Chaos season will be a set amount based on the player's Tier in the standard Aether Raids season from June 14 to June 20. From the second Chaos season onward, each player will begin with the Lift value that they ended the previous Chaos season with.

All raiding parties get +70 Lift gained per match, and those with a Bonus Ally who defeated one or more foes receive a bonus of +20. These are doubled if opting for the Double Up feature.

New Terrain

Meta Changes and Updates 10 (06/10/2022) | Fire Emblem Heroes (FEH)|Game8 (15)

Three new terrain options have been added in Aether Raids: Hel Castle, Jötunheimr Castle, and Niðavellir Castle.

Hel Castle has four breakable blocks in the middle, which can influence Block AI and create unpredictable movement.

Niðavellir Castle has four forest tiles that slow down infantry and block cavalry altogether.

The most dangerous map among those three though, in our opinion, is Jötunheimr Castle. Two unbreakable walls are present in the middle. By placing your Fortress (D) on column 1 (as shown in the sample layout below), you block off columns 1 and 2 completely, similar to how Lost Castle blocks off columns 5 and 6 with its Fortress (D) placement.

The unbreakable walls create a choke point, forcing raiders to enter from columns 3 and 4, or column 6 slowly. By placing your traps in locations shown in the sample layout, you can protect the entrances and force raiders to test the traps or gamble on them altogether.

Sample Defense Layout for Chaos Season

Meta Changes and Updates 10 (06/10/2022) | Fire Emblem Heroes (FEH)|Game8 (16)

Our sample defense layout for Chaos season is a Catria Ball team in Jötunheimr Castle.

Ascended Idunn can be built as a Near Save or a Far Save unit to protect the team. In this map, she is a Far Save unit. We chose Ascended Idunn over any other armor due to her prowess and to enhance Medeus' Assured Rebirth.

Medeus brings Canto Control 3 and a bulky front line presence to deter initiator units from retreating with Canto. Shadow Breath's 【En Garde】 effect protects the team from splash damage from Bolt Tower.

Peony is the bonus Mythic unit (as revelaed on the June 2022 Feh Channel video) and provides refresher utility and additional mobility post-Gentle Dream. This, together with Bridal Catria's Wedding-Bell Axe and Ash's Opening Retainer allow unpredictable AI movement to obtain knockouts and win the map.

As for structure placement, the Duo's Hindrance and Healing Tower are protected by our Fortress (D) blocking off those columns entirely. We placed the two Aether structures here as well to possibly force raiders to surrender if they are unable to claim them safely. Hex Traps and Heavy Traps are our choice due to their higher chance of activation with Mythic stat bonuses deactivated.

The Tactics Room is placed in column 6 together with the Heavy Traps to slow down advancement in that column. This forces the opponent to engage only in columns 3 and 4. The Cavalry School is the bonus structure (as revelaed on the June 2022 Feh Channel video) and is placed on column 6.

It is possible to bait the enemies with a Tank unit to prevent all of these choke points and protect the rest of the team, but the tank runs into a higher risk of death due to Wedding-Bell Axe creating double attacks and Chaos season turning off stat bonuses granted by Mythic heroes.

A maximum investment Brave Hector would normally have 83 HP with 10 merges, 15 dragonflowers, Summoner Support, and four Mythic heroes alongside him, but in Chaos season, his HP is brought down to a more manageable 63 HP.

A Catria Ball team should have little problem cutting through his defenses.

Of course, this layout has its weaknesses as well. Using an offensive unit like Brave Eirika, you can knock out Medeus and use Canto to retreat to the tile occupied by the real Hex Trap. You can then Reposition her out to keep her safe.

Elimine's Staff of the Saint can easily disable Bridal Catria's Wedding-Bell Axe, especially with the lack of Mythic blessing stat bonuses.

Meta-Defining Units

Meta Units
Dagr
[9.5/10]
Duma
[8.5/10]
Elimine
[9.5/10]
Medeus
[9.5/10]

These Mythic heroes are still viable in Chaos season even without the Blessing bonuses provided, and are worth a slot in your teams.

Dagr can now be used on a Defense team, providing 【Pathfinder】 utility similar to Nótt. Due to Chaos season rules not allowing duplicate heroes, summoners have to run Nótt, Dagr, and/or New Year Dagr in order to run 【Pathfinder】 based teams.

Duma can now provide Upheaval+'s splash damage effect on offense, allowing for easier sweeps using player phase teams. However, keep in mind that Upheaval+'s structure destruction effect is NOT active on offense or on Chaos season!

Elimine and Mila still bring their position-based utility in Staff of the Saint and Mila's Turnwheel. This time, due to the lack of Mythic blessing stat bonuses, these two Mythics have a better chance of triggering their powerful effects!

Medeus' Shadow Breath protects allies from splash damage, allowing you to step on Bolt Traps on purpose and only harm the defense team!

Meta Units
Ascended Florina
[9.0/10]
Hatari Azura
[9.5/10]
New Year Peony
[9.5/10]
Ninja Lyn
[9.9/10]

Wings of Mercy setups are now easier with lower HP thresholds due to Mythic blessing stat bonuses not being in effect. Units like Ascended Florina and Ninja Lyn can carry Fury 4 in their A slots and Fury 3 in their Sacred Seal slots to bring their HP down and activate New-Height Bow and/or Wings of Mercy 3 for their allies!

Due to the one refresher unit restriction, it is now more important to choose your refresher unit carefully. We recommend New Year Peony and Hatari Azura due to their Duo and Harmonized skills respectively allowing a second refresh.
