Banana Coffee Recipe (2024)

Struggling to find use for the over-ripe bananas constantly left in your fruit bowl? With this simple recipe, you can create your own delicious banana coffee and enjoy the complex layers of flavours included.

Best served on a hot day, this refreshing drink encapsulates the frothy richness of banana with the deep, aromatic taste of coffee. Whilst banana and coffee may seem like an odd combination of flavours, the natural sweetness of banana (particularly of the ripe or overripe kind) blends perfectly with the deeper notes of coffee beans.

Aside from adding a lighter tone to your cup of coffee, bananas add a touch of health to your drink. Nutritious and great for moderating your blood sugar, bananas have also been proven to help with digestive health as they are a great source of fibre and potassium.

Fruit and coffee have long been a loved combination due to the natural complementing sweet and bitterness found in both ingredients. Banana coffee is an original taste, sure to go down well with friends and family due to the eccentricity of what is actually a very simple and delicious recipe.

If you love the mix of sweet banana with rich coffee, make sure to try Coffee-Direct’s own brand of banana coffee. Combining lightly sweet banana with a mellow, mild coffee, this flavoured coffee works great as an after dinner dessert. This blend works particularly well with filter coffees where the gentle banana flavour will superbly mixe with the deep tones of coffee.
